Because that's what this is all about, right? Working, collaborating, fighting, rebelling toward a liberated future for all. At least, that's the basis for the social justice work that I do.
And everyone's role in that march to freedom is different. Some of us are healers. Some are warriors. Some are teachers. Some create culture. Some are guardians of the past. Some are architects of the future. And many of us have more than one role.
Wherever you are in this fight, and whether you're just joining or you're a veteran, I hope that as you peruse my site, my vision for our future is clear: one with healthy boundaries, but no restraints; where no one is lacking; one filled with love and joy of all kinds; where there is no more hiding who we are; where Earth is healing and we are more connected to Her than ever; where indigenous peoples around the world are sovereign, Blackness is nurtured instead of consumed and destroyed, and Black folk truly love and celebrate each other; where bodies of all kinds can just be; where children are fully human; where elders are both exalted and held accountable; eugenics are a relic; and where, among other things, our value isn't tied to what we can do for others.
And if any or all of that sounds good to you, I hope you're tryin'a go with me.
